Introducing Orana Everyday: How It Differs from Signature

One timber species. Two distinct choices.
At Orana, we know that customers do not all need the same cutting board. Some want an Australian-timber statement piece with substantial construction and distinctive natural character. Others want a genuine Camphor Laurel board that is practical, easy to use and more accessible for everyday cooking.
That is why we created Orana Everyday.
Everyday is not a replacement for Orana Signature, and it is not designed to imitate Signature at a lower price. It is a purpose-built collection with a different product specification, created to give customers a clearer choice.
What Is the Orana Everyday Collection?
Orana Everyday is built around the jobs you do most: chopping vegetables, preparing family meals, making breakfast, serving snacks and handling quick kitchen tasks.
Everyday boards use selected imported Camphor Laurel timber. They are developed around practical sizes, streamlined designs and efficient timber sourcing, then completed through Orana’s local finishing and quality-control process in Sydney.
Many Everyday models are lighter and easier to lift, wash and store than their Signature counterparts. The collection also includes dedicated heavy-duty formats, such as Everyday Butchers Blocks, so the exact weight, thickness and features will vary by product.
Always check the individual product specifications when choosing your board.
What Defines the Orana Signature Collection?
Orana Signature is our premium collection made with Australian-sourced Camphor Laurel timber and crafted in Sydney.
It places greater emphasis on local craftsmanship, substantial construction and the individual character of Australian timber.
Signature is designed for customers who place a higher priority on Australian timber origin, distinctive grain, weight, specialised construction and premium presentation.
Depending on the model, the collection includes single-piece, edge-grain, end-grain, cross-cut and butcher’s-block designs.

Is Everyday a Lower-Quality Version of Signature?
No — but it is genuinely different.
Everyday is not a factory-second, clearance or rejected-product collection. Each board is made to its own specification and receives Orana’s final finishing and quality inspection before dispatch.
The more accessible price comes from streamlined designs, focused sizing, lighter construction across many models and more efficient timber sourcing.
Signature costs more because it uses Australian-sourced timber and places greater emphasis on local craftsmanship, substantial construction and premium presentation.
Being clear about this difference matters. We want you to choose the collection that matches your priorities, rather than assume that one collection is automatically right for everyone.
Which Orana Collection Is Right for You?
Choose Orana Everyday if:
- You want a genuine Camphor Laurel cutting board for regular daily use.
- You prefer practical sizing and, in many models, easier handling.
- You want strong everyday value at a more accessible price.
- You are comfortable choosing selected imported timber completed through Orana’s Sydney finishing and quality-control process.
Choose Orana Signature if:
- Australian-sourced Camphor Laurel is an important part of your purchase.
- You prefer a more substantial board or specialised construction.
- You value distinctive timber character and local craftsmanship.
- You are choosing a premium kitchen piece, display board or meaningful gift.
What Both Collections Share
Both collections use genuine Camphor Laurel timber and are subject to Orana’s final quality standards.
Because timber is a natural material, every board will have its own grain pattern, colour variation and markings. No two boards will look exactly the same.
Both collections also require the same basic care:
- Hand-wash only.
- Dry thoroughly after use.
- Never place the board in a dishwasher.
- Apply food-grade mineral oil regularly to help protect the timber.
