We are proud to launch our Sustainability & Circularity Initiative, designed to ensure that nothing from our workshop goes to waste.
1. Zero-Waste Artistry: New Life for Small Cuts
Why stop at the board? We utilize the remaining premium timber from our production process to create functional art. By meticulously crafting Board Stands, Cheese Boards, and Small Paddle Handle Boards from "off-cuts," we ensure every inch of the tree is honored and utilized.
2. Community Wood-Share Program
Sustainability is a collective journey. We offer our high-quality Wood Off-cuts to the local community for free. Whether you are a DIY enthusiast, a student, or a local crafter, these pieces are yours to transform into something new.
3. Dust to Earth: Nutrient Sharing
Even our sawdust finds a purpose. We collect and donate our Natural Wood Dust to those who need it—from local gardeners for composting to farms for animal bedding. It’s our way of returning nutrients back to the cycle of life.
4. Why Camphor Laurel? The Sustainable Choice
Choosing Orana means choosing the planet. We intentionally work with Camphor Laurel, an incredible timber that is not only naturally antibacterial but also an environmental priority. By sourcing this wood, we help manage its spread in native ecosystems, turning an ecological challenge into a sustainable, long-lasting kitchen essential.
